Report of the european weeks...

Some students of the school made nice reportsa of the european weeks which occured on month ago, in april. We wanted to share these interesting viewpoints of the festival with you...
"        During the European fortnight the students and the different teachers made activities, exhibitions and conferences. Firstly, the canteen proposed each day a European menu. Even if all the dishes were not always very original or really European, the idea seems good and made us feel more European. Then, a class made presentations of different European recipes and dishes like the Tiramisu, the Joulutortut which came from Finland or others...So as to me that seems a nice idea as that made us aware of the diversity of the European Union. Moreover, in my own class, we presented European singers. Some of them were political singers or their songs dealt with ecology. To my mind it's an enriching medium to discover singers nevertheless some of them were already famous and were not so interesting. However I liked some bands like Stratovarius whose song was surprising and very soothing for a Finnish metal band. In addition I enjoyed this song and other like "Black Swan" as they deal with loneliness and the pain of humans. There were also many exhibitions and conferences about ecology(or also movies for the boarders)in the High School. In my opinion we should make more lively activities outside the class. I would like to have European menu more... European precisely as the majority of them were not very representative of each country.
Why don't we make activities regarding the national anthems of the different European countries? All in All I really enjoyed this week. " Anonymous
"              I appreciated a lot the European fortnight because it was very instructive and the theme " the ecology " was a mattering subject on which one(which) we had to discuss to protect best from our planet, in particular with the activities proposed as the exhibitions and the conferences and the games . Furthermore in my class we made presentations on political singers even if certain were already known it was a good means of enrichment. Also, I appreciated a lot the various European dishes which were proposed to us to the canteen it allowed me to discover new flavors and in more a class the Tiramisu, the Joulutortut made us the presentations of different European recipes  and dishes as which came from Finland or the others it is great!!! A good means to inform us about the diversity of the European Union. For the next years, we should have a dialogue, audio conference (by tv or computer) with european pupils, to meet them. By approaching the important subjects and theme which concerns The European."    Robin B.
"             So as to me the European fortnight was very fun. On the first week, a Spanish student come to my house, his name was German. My correspondant doesn't like the Spanish food at the canteen. In the English class, we listened to music, there were 4 groops who explained their songs . Maxime with Mathieu took « The rolling stone » etc.... I agree with the groops because their song was very political. Then, German students came in my class and wa listened to an exhibition. I believe the German students speak english more fluently than the French students. Next hour, we have played drama with the German too. I suppose the moment was funny and with Sophie (which is the name of the German student), we composed a very good scene. On the last week, we played to the volley ball. I was in the team of « Finland ». We were lost every game yet there are cakes, soda, so i was happy. For next year, we should go to the cinema with german students and play football with other Spanish students. As far as i'm concerned, the European fortnight is very short and for next year y guess the French students go to England, Germany... I enjoyed these 2 weeks ! "   Alexis B.
"            First of all, I believe that we should go more to other class to listen to other pupils. So as to me, the 2 weeks European are very interesting to communicate in English and Spanish. The activities which are proposed, are very weel for us to speak other langauges; In my class, we have done a presentation of singers or a band we enjoy us. Personnaly, I prefered a presentation of the Irish band U2, because the song "Sunday bloody sunday" has a serious and important subject. However, I couldn't listen to all the presentations because I was sick. Then, I suppose that the painting which is in hall of school is nice, this put color in school, I like it. I assume that European dishes weren't very original. I believe that dishes are more tipical if we travel to the different countries. Why about doing a seem work for all the classes? I suppose to watch a movie syllabus of the year, this can be interesting. "      Laura BP.
